Archie Givens Jr., President and CEO
Archie is the CEO and Director of Legacy Management & Development Corporation. In addition to that, he is a managing partner of Rainbow Development Corporation, developing over 1,100 affordable housing units throughout the state of Minnesota. For the past 30 years, He has been an entrepreneur, largely dedicating his work to developing affordable housing and services for seniors and families. He is also the President of the Givens Foundation for African American Literature. The Givens Foundation has a mission to celebrate and promote African American literature through a variety of programs and outreach efforts. Archie is the editor of two bibliographies for young people, Spirited Minds and Strong Souls Singing; both are resource guides for young people to discover African American literature and writers.
He is a board member for Western Bank, Hennepin Theater Trust Board, and the Guthrie Theater. He is also the President of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. In the past, he has served on a number of other boards including: former board member for H.B. Fuller Foundation, board member for Weisman Art Museum, President for the National Mental Health Association, Advisor to the National Black Philanthropy Conference, Trustee for the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics, Board Member of Greywolf Press, and Minnesota Humanities Commission.
He studied at the University of Minnesota where he received his B.A. in History and Humanities, as well as a M.H.A. in Hospital and Healthcare Administration and earned a license in Nursing Home Administration.
Patrick Lamb, Vice President
Patrick has been the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Legacy Management & Development for over twenty years. He is also a licensed broker and a licensed real estate instructor in the state of Minnesota. He is currently a Director for the Founding Chair Housing Link, and a member of the Minneapolis Affordable Housing Task Force. In the past, he was a founding member and former President of the Community Associations Institute, director of the Minnesota Multi-Housing Association, director of Starkey Hearing Foundation, director of Pilot City Neighborhood Services, and was involved in the Governor’s Commission—Uniform Condominium Act. He has developed and rehabilitated several low income housing facilities ranging from 22 units to 900 units such as Heritage Park, Legacy Village, Minnetonka Heights, and the Winnipeg.
Vicki Saete, Vice President of Management
Vicki has been the Vice President of the Management Division and Certified Occupancy Specialist for Legacy Management & Development since 1998. She also holds the following titles: Certified Occupancy Manager-Section 8, Certified Resident Manager, Certified Occupancy Manager-Section 42, Housing Credit Certified Professional, and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson. She is also a member of the Minnesota Multi Housing Association.
Denise Hennum, Controller
Denise has been the Controller and Human Resources Manager at Legacy Management & Development since 2005 and has 24 years in the accounting field. She started her career working for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis; after 14 years with the bank, she then switched fields to property management and has been in the field for 13 years now. She has worked with both commercial and residential properties over the years, and has extensive experience in the accounting workflow for property management. She has worked with MHFA as well as HUD offices concerning financial reporting and budgets. For the last nine years, she has also volunteered as the Treasurer for Mille Lac Island Resort Coop.
